Week One: Chill Vibes & Python Whispers

Today marks the beginning of a new week, and I’ve officially survived Week One of college. 🎉 Honestly? It was chill. No all-nighters, no ramen-fueled breakdowns. Just me, my laptop, and Python whispering sweet logical nothings into my brain. There’s something satisfying about seeing code click into place, like solving a puzzle🧩 that actually does something.

Everyone keeps asking me, “So… what are your goals when you get your degree?” And I’m like:

  • 🧶 Goal #1: Don’t accidentally unravel my whole project like a dropped skein
  • 💻 Goal #2: Learn enough code to make my church’s website stop looking like it was designed in 1999.
  • 😕 Goal #3: ❓❓❓¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ❓❓❓(freeze‑frame) thunder crack ⚡, cape flutters, title card slams: “ARC: THE UNKNOWN PATH”

Honestly, this whole journey started because I wanted to learn how to code my church’s website. That small spark turned into something bigger: now I’m fascinated by both the logic and the design side of programming.
Maybe I’ll become a full-stack developer. Maybe I’ll just stack granny squares while debugging. Who knows? It’s only Week Two — I’m still figuring out how to keep my stitches (and my code) from twisting themselves into knots.

Week Two: Moo Moo Farm → Rainbow Road

This week I started learning about Python functions. They’re like that pile of practice granny squares — reusable stitches you can call on whenever you need them. Except instead of yarn, I’m looping logic.

I did not expect such a drastic jump in difficulty between weeks.

Last week felt like Moo Moo Farm — simple, breezy, almost relaxing, like crocheting a basic chain stitch. This week? Rainbow Road. 🌈 No guardrails, sharp turns, and one wrong move sends me flying into the void....kind of like trying to crochet lace with invisible thread while the cat runs off with your yarn.🐈

College went from cozy scarf vibesto accidental doily of doomreal quick.

Is this college... or a crochet circle???

The weirdest part? College doesn’t feel real. My tutor is AI, my classroom is wherever I plop down with Wi-Fi, and my “campus” is basically my couch 🪑. Sometimes I wonder if I’m actually enrolled or if I just joined a very intense crochet circle for Python enthusiasts.

But hey — if this is college, I’m here for it. Logic puzzles, design experiments, and the occasional existential knot about my future career path. All part of the pattern...

Stay tuned for Week Three: Debugging while crocheting with spaghetti code.
